Computational Thinking: Building Models for Grades 3-5
Lesson Title: Bedroom Blueprint
Grade Levels: 3-5
Length of Lesson: 90 minutes
Overview: In this lesson, students take on the role of an architect and use modeling to create a bedroom blueprint to use for designing a new room. They also manage their budget to identify what furniture they will include.
Activity: Students are presented with the task of creating their ideal bedroom after winning the Kids Design Challenge Contest. They will design a bedroom using the provided dimensions, requirements, budget, and a list of supply items.
